3 April 2011

Dagaz, Uruz, and Dagaz were the runes guiding today.

Dagaz is Day, a breakthrough.  I had a dream of an ex's mother coming to see me.  He had passed away and that is really all that I remember other than a friend's house that had a nice stuffed elk inside (it never had a stuffed elk let alone the windows that some how forgot the porch) and book cases that we had talked about her installing until the termites came to visit.  Hmm, strange.  Also, he would have NEVER had a picture like that.  For one thing, she didn't own the house for the age of the child within the picture and didn't have a dead elk in the house. and I would have NEVER given him the photo displaying what I saw...  Strange.  He is gone.  Done.  In fact, I am making progress of removing him, including the wine, from my life.  Yay!!

Uruz is the rune of strength and part of strength is being thankful for what I have.  Very nice to leave the old behind.  And appreciate the current.  The bastard has less of a claim than he had before.  Last count, 6 bottles left to drink and then he is... gone....!!!

Dagaz is the rune of breakthrough, of day, of purpose.  Remove and conquer.  Erase and establish new ground for the new.  Yes, sir, you read that, get him outa my life and get some room for someone else!  How do those fish heads taste, buddy???????????????

Wunjo is the task for tonight.  Enjoying the moment.  Enjoying what has developed to get me here today.  JOY!!!

Jera reminds us that very few things are immediate.  There is always a time frame involved in each and every project we undertake.  Even things that suddenly happen have been developing over a defined time frame.  Who defines the time frame?  Who knows.  It is not in our hands, specifically.  It is dependent upon our actions and those of others.  I made some progress on a couple needlework projects today and got to speak in my "native" accent with a fellow art club member.  It is always fun and I enjoy it so much, a taste of home.

Isa is the rune of ice, of isolation, of fear.  Its a good time to slow down, think about our fears and how we can neutralize them.  Remember where we have come from, what it took to get us here, where we want to go, and how to get there.  Only when we address our fears, looking at where they came from/how we got the fear, then we can dis-spell them.

Teiwaz represents Tiw and was painted onto shields in battle.  We often forget that a battle is a passionate event, we rarely went into battle without being behind the reason for the event.  Loss of blood, limb, and body is a significant waste if we enter battle without supporting the cause.  The passion for the cause is what separates a warrior or a hero with plain ol' cannon fodder.  Remember that.  If whatever you are facing is worth the efforts and you are truly passionate about the reason for going forward with that cause, win or lose, you will be a warrior and worthy of appreciation.

Wunjo is the task for tonight.  The rune of joy, serenity, of celebration.  Happy that Spring has arrived; serene in my life; and celebrate a new day!
