Wunjo reversed or murskstave, Gebo, and Nauthiz were today's selections.

Wunjo is the rune of Joy.  In the mursk stave or reversed position, it may indicate something is slow coming to being.  It may indicate the person is removed or collapsed into relationships with others.  A withdrawal or renewal may be warranted.  Strife or alienation may be marked by this rune.  The contemporary interpretation may indicate a crisis or test has occurred.

Gebo is the rune of Gifts, and in the order of today's draw, Trust.  It is important to trust oneself in addition to those you are involved with (all relationships).  Traditionally, this rune was a reminder to be hospitable to guests.  If a person failed to provide hospitality to guests, wanted or unexpected, that person would be treated in kind by the Gods.  There is a story in the Edda about Odin seeking shelter from two families: rich and poor.  The rich family gave poorly.  The poor family gave as well as they could.  Odin blessed that family with a divine child.  At times, we need to give ourselves the gift of Trust.

Nauthiz in the contemporary interpretation indicates knowing and recognizing Limitations within relationships.  Traditionally, the rune addressed need.  Friction happening may be outside of one's control.  Hence, recognizing ones limitations.

Isa is the rune for this evening.  Standstill, Fear, and Reflection are contemporary interpretations.  Traditional meaning of Isa is Ice.  Perhaps it is a time to pull into oneself to be still, repair, address fears trying to take steps to neutralize them, and to reflect on the past and current life.  If not addressed, Isa may become destructive to the self.  And, as the self destroys itself, it destroys others as well.
